Nightwatch

Daily rank tracking and AI-visibility monitoring from €79 a month billed yearly, with every tool, all six AI platforms and no per-seat fee on every plan — and the yearly discount it advertises is exactly 20%.

Rating
4.3 4.3 out of 5
Starting price €99 Every plan is billed monthly or yearly, and the pricing page opens with the billing switch already set to Yearly. Starter is €99 a month billed monthly or €79 a month billed yearly (€948 a year); Professional is €199 or €159 (€1,908); Agency is €399 a month billed yearly (€4,788). The yearly discount is exactly 20%, and the page says so: the switch is labelled "YEARLY −20%" and the saving printed on each card (€240 / €480 / €1,200) is exactly the difference between twelve monthly payments and the yearly total. Enterprise is quoted to volume from 20,000 keywords upward

Pros

  • The independent record is good where the sample is not small: G2 carries it at 4.7 out of 5 from 64 reviews, distributed 52 five-star, 11 four-star, 1 three-star and no one- or two-star reviews at all, and Capterra's own page shows 4.8 from 39 reviews with 97% positive sentiment and none negative — a record you can open and check before you pay
  • Everything is on every plan, so you are not buying a rank tracker and then paying again per feature: Content Studio, Keyword Research, Prompt Research, the SEO MCP server, Site Audit and the Search Simulator are open on Starter as well as Enterprise, and the FAQ says so outright — plans "differ in how much you can track and how many research and agent runs you get each month — not in which tools you can open"
  • Every search engine and every AI platform is on every tier: Google, YouTube, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and Google Maps, plus ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode and AI Overview — no add-on, no separate AI plan, so reporting on Google rankings and AI citations together is one invoice rather than two subscriptions
  • No per-seat fee, which is the exception in this category: the FAQ answers "Do you charge per user seat?" with "No. You pay for the keywords you track, not the size of your team", and the page contrasts it with "unlike Semrush ($45+/seat)" — so from Professional up a whole agency shares one subscription instead of paying twice per head
  • The 20% yearly discount is exactly 20%, and the arithmetic can be checked on the cards: the switch reads "YEARLY −20%", €79 against €99 is 20.2%, €159 against €199 is 20.1%, and each card's printed saving (€240, €480, €1,200) is precisely twelve monthly payments minus the yearly total — advertising and invoice agree, which is rarer than it should be
  • The quotas are published per plan and they reconcile: the AI answer allowance is exactly the prompt count times 30 on all three tiers — one collected answer per prompt per day — so what changes up the ladder is volume, and volume is something you can budget against
  • Scale lowers the unit price, so moving up is arithmetic rather than a pitch: the monthly price per tracked keyword falls from about €0.16 on Starter billed yearly to about €0.064 on Professional and about €0.053 on Agency
  • The trial needs no card at the first step and leaving is self-serve: the signup page asks for an email address only, every plan card says "14-day free trial · No credit card required", the help centre says a trial can be extended on request, and both the pricing page's "CANCEL ANYTIME" and the FAQ's "There is no long-term commitment and you can cancel your subscription at any time" state the exit plainly
  • The two things a rank tracker lives or dies by are stated with numbers: daily tracking plus on-demand checks on every plan, three years of full SERP history retained, and a footprint of 190+ countries and 107,000+ locations on the rank-tracker and enterprise pages
  • There is a working layer beyond the tracker itself: Prompt Research for AI prompts, a Site Audit, a Search Simulator, a Looker Studio connector, white-label reports and API access from Professional up, and an MCP server that puts live rankings inside Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT

Cons

  • There is no refund in any window, so take the trial before committing to a year: the Terms of Service carry "Refund policy — Nightwatch is not obligated to provide you with a refund at any time" and the help centre adds "we do not grant refunds for the canceled subscriptions due to our terms of service" — pro-rating exists for switching a plan or billing period, not for leaving, and an uncancelled trial converts to a monthly subscription, so diarise day 14
  • There is no free plan, the trial is the only zero-cost route, and cards are the only payment method named: the pricing FAQ lists "most major credit cards (Visa, American Express, and MasterCard)" — no PayPal, and on an annual plan the first payment is final
  • The review badges on the vendor's own pages do not match the platforms they name: the rank-tracker page displays "G2 4.8 / 310+", "Capterra 4.7 / 120+" and "Trustpilot 4.6 / 200+", while G2's own page reads 4.7 from 64 reviews, Capterra's reads 4.8 from 39, and Trustpilot returns its own 404 for nightwatch.io and lists five other companies. The real scores — 4.7 and 4.8 — are good enough to sell the product on their own, so read the platforms rather than the badges before you buy
  • The seats are the one number the page will not give: the headline is "Simple pricing. Unlimited seats." and the FAQ says adding clients or colleagues is free, but the comparison table's "Unlimited user seats" row is an em dash on Starter, no page states Starter's seat count, and the Terms say "Your login may only be used by one person - a single login shared by multiple people is not permitted". If seats decide your tier, get the answer in writing first
  • Tidying the keyword list destroys history, and history is what makes the plan worth having: the help centre's "Keyword Limit Exceeded" article warns that "removing keywords will permanently erase all associated tracking history from our tool" — you can add volume only by moving up a tier, never by deleting keywords to fit
  • The same product has a second price list on another URL, and it buys less: the still-live Black Friday page is in dollars under the names "Search + AI Basic" and "Search + AI Pro", its entry card is 250 keywords for $104 a month against the pricing page's 500 keywords for €99, and its own hero says "Black Friday Sale Ended" with a deadline of 2 December 2025. Buying through the promotion page gets you less of the product you came for

Pricing

Starter

€99 per month billed monthly, or €79 per month billed yearly (€948 a year) — the page opens on the yearly figure, and the number beside it is not labelled annually

  • 500 keywords tracked daily, 50 AI prompts, 1,500 AI answers a month, 5 websites, 5 competitors per site, 100 keyword researches a month, 100 SEO Agent credits a month, 1,000 site-audit pages
  • Every tool is on this plan: Content Studio, Keyword Research, Prompt Research, the SEO MCP server, Site Audit and the Search Simulator — the vendor's pricing FAQ says all of them "are included on Starter, Professional, Agency and Enterprise alike"
  • The AI answer allowance is the prompt count times 30 on every tier (50 × 30 = 1,500; 150 × 30 = 4,500; 500 × 30 = 15,000), which is one collected answer per prompt per day
  • The comparison table's "Unlimited user seats" row is an em dash on this tier and the Starter card's "also included" list omits it, while Professional's list contains it — no page states how many seats Starter includes, even though the headline says "Simple pricing. Unlimited seats." and the FAQ says there is "no charge for adding clients or colleagues to your account"

Professional

€199 per month billed monthly, or €159 per month billed yearly (€1,908 a year); marked "Most Popular"

  • 2,500 keywords, 150 AI prompts, 4,500 AI answers a month, 25 websites, 10 competitors per site, 500 keyword researches, 1,000 SEO Agent credits and 10,000 site-audit pages
  • The tier where the plan cards first list "Unlimited user seats", white-label reports, Looker Studio and API access — the comparison table gives all four an em dash on Starter
  • Price per tracked keyword falls from about €0.16 a month on Starter (yearly billing) to about €0.064 on Professional and about €0.053 on Agency, which is the real reason to move up

Agency

€399 per month billed yearly (€4,788 a year); the card reads "Save €1,200", which against twelve monthly payments of €499 is exactly €1,200 — we read the monthly figures for Starter and Professional directly in both billing modes and did not switch the toggle to read Agency's

  • 7,500 keywords, 500 AI prompts, 15,000 AI answers a month, 100 websites, 15 competitors per site, 2,500 keyword researches, 5,000 SEO Agent credits and 100,000 site-audit pages
  • Adds the things a client-facing agency asks for: white-label reports, unlimited seats, Looker Studio, API access, a dedicated account manager, priority support with an SLA and custom API rate limits
  • The same page sells this tier on the Black Friday URL for $342 a month — in dollars, under the name "Search + AI Pro", with 1,000 keywords instead of 7,500

Enterprise

Custom quoted to volume, from 20,000 keywords upward; the vendor's page says it is "100% flexible to suit your most unique marketing needs"

  • The only tier with SSO and advanced security controls, custom data retention, dedicated infrastructure and custom integrations
  • Every other quota on the page becomes unlimited or custom, including AI prompts, AI answers, keyword researches, SEO Agent credits and site-audit pages
  • The pricing page says packages above 20,000 keywords are built "with dedicated infrastructure, SSO, an SLA and flexible limits for teams tracking at scale"

Who it is for

  • Agencies tracking local packs and multiple client domains, where the seat count is unlimited from Professional up and the per-keyword price falls as you scale (about €0.064 a month per keyword on Professional billed yearly)
  • Teams that have to report on AI visibility as well as Google rankings, because ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode and AI Overview are on every plan rather than sold as an add-on
  • Buyers who want a rank tracker that does not meter features: Content Studio, Keyword Research, Prompt Research, the SEO MCP server, Site Audit and the Search Simulator are all open on the entry plan
  • Teams that already pay per seat elsewhere: the FAQ's answer to "Do you charge per user seat?" is no, and the page prices the alternative it is undercutting at "$45+/seat"
  • Anyone whose SEO work runs through an MCP client — the server is on every plan and the FAQ says it speaks to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT "or any MCP-compatible client"
  • Buyers who need long history without paying for it: three years of full SERP archives are retained on every plan
  • Solo consultants and small sites that want daily tracking, AI prompts and a site audit for a single €79-a-month yearly line rather than three subscriptions
  • Enterprise teams tracking more than 20,000 keywords that need SSO, custom retention and a negotiated SLA
