Contabo Review 2026: $5.28/Mo and the Price Rise Clause

3.5 /5
3.5 3.5 out of 5

Our verdict

Contabo sells the most resources per dollar on this stretch of the market: $5.28/month on a 24-month term buys 4 vCPU cores and 8 GB of RAM for a $126.72 prepayment, the top tier delivers 18 cores and 96 GB of RAM for $47.04/month, no setup fee appeared on any tier, EU regions carry no location fee, and the vendor published a full root-cause analysis of its own September 2024 Nuremberg outage. What decides the cost is not the list price: GTC 3(9) lets Contabo adjust prices at any time in line with market developments, with silence treated as consent, and the help centre confirms it adjusts VPS plan prices itself. Location fees scale with the tier (the UK fee reaches $14.00/month on Cloud VPS 18), the contract renews itself for an equal term unless you give four weeks' notice, the 14-day withdrawal right is consumers only and a refund may carry an administration fee, and availability rests on a single 99.9% physical-connectivity clause with no separate SLA, no credit table and no claims process. The one independent benchmark available (VPSBenchmarks, 26 January 2026) scores it Overall 55 with Network E, and the only first-hand test on Reddit with real numbers points at disk I/O rather than CPU. 3.5 is the score for a buyer who will administer the server, keep off-site backups and diarise the renewal date.

  • Entry price: $5.28/month as the 24-month effective rate, charged as a $126.72 prepayment; $5.61/month annual and $6.60/month monthly, before any location fee
  • The real dividing line: GTC 3(9) lets the provider reprice at any time in line with market developments, and consent is deemed granted if you do not exercise the special termination right
  • Refunds and availability: the 14-day withdrawal right is consumers only and a refund may carry a fee; availability is a 99.9% annual average physical-connectivity clause with no separate SLA document and no credit table

Contabo's VPS configurator starts at $5.28/month for 4 vCPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, 100 GB of SSD and a 200 Mbit port. That is the effective rate on a 24-month contract, charged as a $126.72 prepayment; the same plan is $5.61/month annually and $6.60/month monthly, and it excludes the location fee. What decides what you actually pay is the invoice — GTC 3(9) lets Contabo reprice at any time, and silence counts as consent.

What it does well

RAM per dollar is the strongest thing on this line. $5.28/month on the 24-month term — a $126.72 prepayment — buys 4 vCPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, 100 GB of SSD, a 200 Mbit port and unlimited traffic under a fair-use policy. Cloud VPS 18 at $47.04/month delivers 18 cores and 96 GB of RAM, and Cloud VPS 6 at $7.20/month gives 12 GB for $1.92/month more.

The price structure is transparent and all three terms sit on one screen. The 1-, 12- and 24-month cards sit side by side with struck-through list prices and SAVE 15% / SAVE 20% badges, and the order summary is on the same screen. Every tier read as $0.00 on setup, but read that as free today rather than free forever: the tooltip promises only that “For selected plans and contract terms, a minimal setup fee is applied”.

EU regions carry no location fee, and every other region’s fee is printed. European Union is the configurator default and shows Free; the three US regions, the UK, Japan, India, Singapore and Sydney each list their fee in the Region tab. The footprint is nine regions and eleven locations, and the EU is the only fee-free one.

One account covers the whole ladder, and the add-ons are priced individually. Above Core VPS sit Performance VPS (AMD EPYC with NVMe, $13.00–$95.20/month), Max Performance / Cloud VDS with dedicated cores ($47.20–$167.20/month), Storage VPS ($5.28–$35.60/month) and Dedicated servers from $131.75/month. Add-ons are priced too: an extra 100 GB of SSD $1.80/month, Windows Server $9.60/month, cPanel $27.50/month and Auto Backup $2.00/month. Pick a tier, a term and a region in Contabo’s VPS configurator and the fee lands in the order summary.

Support has genuine positive records, not just rumours. The author of r/VPS 1to8bwk (26 May 2026, 34 upvotes) writes that both tickets were answered quickly and Contabo started a live migration to another host system, after which performance improved. The vendor also published a full root-cause analysis of its own worst recent outage: on 2 September 2024, all VPS, dedicated servers and object storage instances in Nuremberg became unavailable, and the customer control panel, support and new orders went down with them. The postmortem of 13 September 2024 sets out the chain — a severe thunderstorm caused grid voltage fluctuations, the site switched to UPS, and cooling did not restart when power returned because of a control-bus fault. The hall reached 40°C and Contabo powered instances down to protect the drives from damage and data loss.

What $5.28 actually means

The configurator offers exactly three terms — 1, 12 and 24 months — and no 3-month or 6-month option, while the text of GTC Clause 5(1) still reads one, three, six or twelve months. The contract text lags the configurator.

Model1 month12 months (SAVE 15%)24 months (SAVE 20%)Specification
Cloud VPS 4$6.60/mo$5.61/mo$5.28/mo4 vCPU / 8 GB / 100 GB SSD / 200 Mbit

Cloud VPS 18$58.80/mo$49.98/mo$47.04/mo18 vCPU / 96 GB / 600 GB SSD / 1 Gbit

Read them as totals, because that is how they are billed: the 24-month prepayments are $126.72 / $172.80 / $322.56 / $576.00 / $854.40 / $1,128.96. The entry tier saves $1.32/month against monthly billing, or $31.68 across the 24 months. $5.28 is not a monthly price: on monthly billing the entry tier is $6.60/month, and annually $5.61/month.

The location fee: EU is free, everywhere else scales

On Cloud VPS 4 the Region tab lists: EU Free, the UK $1.30, US Central $1.30, US West $1.60, US East $1.90, Sydney $2.65, India $3.00, Singapore $3.10 (shown as Out of stock) and Japan $3.15.

EU $ 0 UK $ 1.3 US Central $ 1.3 US West $ 1.6 US East $ 1.9 Sydney $ 2.65 India $ 3 Singapore $ 3.1 Japan $ 3.15
Read in a browser from Contabo's configurator (region CN, USD, English) on 2 October 2026, Cloud VPS 4. The EU is Free; every other figure is a monthly location fee. Singapore was shown as Out of stock at the time of reading. The fee is a fixed component of the price, not an optional add-on.

The easily missed part is that the fee scales with the tier: the UK figure read in the same session runs $1.30 / $2.00 / $4.05 / $7.20 / $10.60 / $14.00 from Cloud VPS 4 to Cloud VPS 18. The right order of operations is therefore pick the region, add the fee, and only then compare with anyone else — Cloud VPS 4 in US East costs $5.28 + $1.90 = $7.18/month, which is 36% above the headline.

The text of GTC 3(9) is:

“The provider may adjust the prices at any time in line with market developments. … The consent by the Customer to the price increase is considered granted if he does not exercise his special right of termination within the aforementioned period.”

In purchasing terms: Contabo may reprice at any time in line with market developments, and it hands you a special termination right that, if you do not exercise it inside the window it specifies, is treated as your agreement to the increase. And the vendor says so itself: the help-centre article “Why did my service price increase?” lists three causes, and the third — Base price increase — reads “Occasionally, Contabo adjusts the price of VPS plans themselves. These changes are always announced in advance via newsletter.”

The dated records, separated by strength of evidence: effective 18 April 2025, VPS 0 NVMe moved from €4.19 to €5.10 gross (+21.7%), with a blogger reproducing the vendor’s price-change notice (blogger relaying a vendor notice); 19 February 2025, a customer reported an email raising the old 4-core/8 GB plan from €5.99 to €7.20 (forum post relaying an email); and r/VPS 1bk0eo0 (21 March 2024, 65 upvotes), where the poster says his bill went from about 1,000 EUR/month to 1,500 EUR/month (user’s own account). This is a contractually permitted continuing adjustment, not a one-off repricing.

The boundary that has to be drawn is the market background: a German trade report of 25 June 2026 describes cloud hosting getting more expensive across the market and names Hetzner, which raised prices twice during 2026. That report does not say Contabo raised prices. Contabo’s own record of official price announcements was not found in this run.

The old-slug trap: two different Cloud VPS 6 pages

Going straight to contabo.com/en/vps/cloud-vps-6 (without -core-) opens a same-named older configurator: 24 vCPU cores, 120 GB of RAM, 600 GB of NVMe (the current tier is 6 cores / 12 GB / 200 GB SSD), a badge reading only SAVE 8%, $70.58/month on the 12-month term and an order summary reading Prepaid 12 Months $847.00. The page has no link from the main menu, but it is still directly reachable. The current slugs are cloud-vps-core-N.

Contract, payment and refunds

The contract renews itself for an equal term. GTC 5(1): the term is extended by a period equivalent to the one selected unless either party terminates four weeks before the end; Clause 5(2) requires termination through my.contabo.com or in text form (fax or email). A 24-month contract you do not cancel becomes another 24 months. Outside Germany there are no instalments: Clause 4(1) states that where the customer’s regular place of abode is outside Germany, payment for all services falls due immediately.

Payment and identity. Clause 4(2) and 4(3), and 3(1): bank transfer, credit card, PayPal and Skrill, with SEPA direct debit inside the EU but not for a new customer’s first payment; the currency cannot be changed during the contract (€ / $ / £); and the order requires name, postal address, email address and telephone number plus a consumer-or-business declaration, with no company details needed for consumers. No free trial appears on the homepage, the pricing page, the product pages, the T&C or the withdrawal page — plan for no free trial.

The refund and withdrawal right is 14 days, and it is consumers only. T&C Clause 5(5) gives consumers 14 days to withdraw without stating grounds, followed immediately by “The right of withdrawal does not apply for businesses.” The withdrawal page adds that Contabo reimburses “all payments received from you, including delivery costs”, with services already supplied paid pro rata. Reading the T&C and the withdrawal page in full turned up no dedicated clause on whether the setup fee is refundable — recorded here as not found, not asserted either way. The refund knowledge-base article (published 3 January 2025, updated 10 April 2025) lists the refundable cases (within 14 days of the contract start, an automatic renewal within 72 hours, a mistaken order cancelled immediately, returning account credit) and the limits: an administration fee may apply, and unmet criteria may make you ineligible.

Availability and data responsibility: 99.9% connectivity, no payout table

GTC Clause 11(1) promises that the physical connectivity of object storage, webspace packages, dedicated servers, virtual dedicated servers and VPS is available at an annual average rate of 99.9%, excluding force majeure, third-party or customer fault and maintenance announced in advance. But reading every document in the legal navigation turns up no separate SLA document (/en/legal/service-level-agreement/ returns 404), no credit table and no claims process. The accurate description is “there is an availability promise and no means of enforcing it”. The homepage advertises 99.996%, which does not match the contract’s 99.9%; the contract governs.

Data responsibility sits with the customer. GTC 3(7): “The customer is under obligation to properly back up the relevant data on a regular basis.” Backup is a customer obligation even if you have bought the vendor’s own backup service. The vendor’s knowledge-base article (published 28 November 2024, updated 10 April 2025) is blunter: “At Contabo we don’t store customer data, so we are not able to recover any data loss you may have experienced.” Auto Backup at $2.00/month lowers the probability; it does not change who is responsible. One further point from the same class: the CEPH object-storage degradation from 8 September 2026 (the vendor’s own status page states automated backups were paused as a precaution) and the 10 October 2026 Singapore 2 maintenance window are both corroborated on Contabo’s status pages; a third-party aggregator’s “74.44% uptime” figure could not be verified and is not used as a conclusion here.

Unlimited traffic is fair use

The pricing-page footnote is explicit: incoming traffic is unlimited and unmetered, outgoing traffic runs under a fair-usage policy, and where usage is exceptionally high or disruptive Contabo reserves the right to throttle at its own discretion. Clause 9 goes further and entitles the provider to set its own regulations and limit values, with exceeding them presumed to be a breach and the burden of proof on the customer; it may restrict use or block immediately, and Clause 9(5) states that the claim to remuneration continues in full for the remainder of the contractual term even during a justified block. “Unlimited traffic” therefore means “there is no per-GB add-on”.

What the public record says

Platform scores: the one first-party figure readable is WHTop at 2.6 / 10 across 47 reviews, with 9 recommending and 38 opposed and 0 official responses. SmartCustomer, a second third-party site, scores it 2.0 / 5. Trustpilot, G2, Capterra, HostAdvice, TrustRadius, LowEndTalk and ReclameAqui were all unreadable (403), so there is no verifiable Trustpilot or G2 aggregate score here. The widely repeated “Trustpilot 4.5 from about 9,500 reviews” appears only on a second-hand site carrying an affiliate disclosure (2 June 2026) and could not be verified.

There is exactly one independent benchmark, and it is middling. VPSBenchmarks bought and tested a Cloud VDS S NVMe (€42.99/month, 6 dedicated cores / 24 GB / 180 GB, Nuremberg) on 26 January 2026, stating “VPSBenchmarks bought, setup the server and started the tests”: Network E, Raw CPU C, Disk IO C, Stability B, Web C, an Overall Score of 55 (price-weighted) and Sysbench multi-threaded at 1,876 ops/sec (grade E, against a site median of 3,351). That is a third-party purchase-and-test, not a test of mine. Review Signal’s 2026 WordPress and WooCommerce benchmarks do not include Contabo at all (site search returns “Nothing Found”) — an evidence gap, not a performance finding.

Reddit carries a body of first-hand reports that can be clicked through, and the higher the score the worse the problem. Every item below is a user’s own account — not my testing, not the vendor’s.

  • r/selfhosted 1bmgq4v (24 March 2024, 207 upvotes / 117 comments): an entire VPS disappeared without warning — payment was current, and the dashboard showed only a vmi number and an “install VPS” button. The poster says he lost no data but had “no way to quickly spin the apps back online”. The highest-scoring post in this run.
  • r/sysadmin 1s3nf99 (25 March 2026, 178 upvotes / 52 comments): a dedicated server had been completely inaccessible since 21 March, over 106 hours, while Contabo processed payment for the next month; the poster notes that the vendor’s status page showed zero incidents.
  • r/VPS 1wmq17m (21 September 2026, 124 upvotes / 81 comments): the poster says a live server was deleted and the IP handed to another customer, with his domain resolving to that customer’s site.
  • r/VPS 1bk0eo0 (21 March 2024, 65 upvotes / 56 comments): the ~1,000 → 1,500 EUR/month account quoted above.
  • r/VPS 1to8bwk (26 May 2026, 34 upvotes / 15 comments): the title is the conclusion. The poster measured CPU steal at a constant 0; the bottleneck was disk I/O, with load average around 16 on 4 vCPU, iowait around 50% and r_await above 120 ms. This is the only first-hand test in this run carrying hard numbers, and it agrees with VPSBenchmarks’ Disk IO C and Network E: do not worry about CPU steal; worry about the disk.
  • r/VPS 1h113mq (27 November 2024, 19 upvotes / 12 comments): a Singapore comparison with Hetzner’s CPX31, reporting the same four virtual cores were “more than 2x faster”.

The same corpus also contains long-term positive reports, and they belong here too. In the comments on r/VPS 1sdvwfk (6 April 2026, 54 upvotes), one poster claiming more than ten years as a customer and over 100 servers says he has had “servers over 7 years old, without any problem, while I had other servers that had stops of more than 24 hours for three times a year”. The accurate conclusion is not “everyone is complaining” — it is that experience on the same product line varies widely.

Evidence explicitly not found on Reddit (and therefore not written up): first-hand experience of the Tokyo region; any first-hand DDoS account; an instance of overage billing for excess traffic (the corpus instead contains “unlimited bandwidth” claims); any first-hand evidence of a setup fee not being refunded (the only refund dispute found is a different one — a refund refused because the account was registered as a business); a same-machine NVMe-versus-HDD benchmark; the price multiples for 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month terms; and any official Contabo response on Reddit.

Alternatives worth pricing

If the thing you fear is a bill that moves, the RackNerd review covers the opposite trade — no refunds, data deleted on termination, in exchange for a locked renewal rate. For a price lock as the selling point itself, see the InterServer review; for hourly billing with no term, the Vultr review; for a managed panel and a real 45-day refund window, the HostArmada review. Contabo sells resources per dollar, not contractual safety — buy it on its own configurator, pricing the term and the region together.

Using Cloudflare alongside it

Cloudflare Tunnel (no public ports and no published origin IP — on a machine throttled under a fair-use policy and billed during a block, that is risk reduction in itself), the free CDN and WAF tier (static assets and baseline filtering at the edge), and R2 for off-site backups (backup is a customer obligation, and the vendor states it does not store customer data). Cloudflare is not a Contabo substitute: one is a VPS, the other an edge network.

Who should not buy Contabo

Do not buy the 24-month term if you will not track the renewal date — GTC 5(1) renews for an equal term, requires four weeks’ notice and accepts only my.contabo.com or text form. Do not buy it if a list price that never moves is what you want — GTC 3(9) permits repricing with silence treated as consent, and Reddit carries an account of a bill going from about 1,000 to 1,500 EUR/month. Do not buy it expecting availability compensation — Clause 11(1) offers only a 99.9% annual average. Do not buy it expecting instalments outside Germany (Clause 4(1)), as a business expecting the 14-day withdrawal right (Clause 5(5)), or if you will not run your own off-site backups. Do not compare a US or Asian price without the location fee (US East +$1.90/month, Japan +$3.15/month, Singapore +$3.10/month and Out of stock). And do not buy it for CPU benchmarks rather than RAM per dollar — the only independent benchmark grades Network E and Raw CPU C.

How it scores

Features 4.5
Ease of use 3.5
Value for money 4.5
Support 3.5

Features is a 4.5: specifications step up linearly to 18 cores and 96 GB, ports run from 200 Mbit to 1 Gbit, nine regions sit on one account, four further product lines sit above Core VPS, and every add-on is priced. The half-mark comes off for two same-named pages selling two specifications and for contract text that lags the configurator. Ease of use is a 3.5: the contract cards and order summary share a screen, but the old slug is directly reachable, the commercial terms that matter most are not on the pricing page, and the availability promise has no document behind it. Value is a 4.5: $5.28/month for 4 cores and 8 GB, $47.04/month for 18 cores and 96 GB, no setup fee and no EU location fee — the mark comes off for the location fee scaling with the tier and for the absence of a payout mechanism. Support is a 3.5: the vendor published a complete root-cause analysis and r/VPS 1to8bwk confirms a fast answer and a live migration, but WHTop shows 9 recommending against 38 opposed with 0 official responses.

The four dimensions average 4.0 and the overall rating is 3.5. The half point is deliberately conservative: the resources and the price deserve a 4.0, and the three things that follow the purchase do not — the bill can be repriced, the contract renews itself, and the exit is narrow (14 days for consumers only, a refund that may carry a fee, no data recovery). Add the only verifiable independent benchmark at Overall 55 / Network E.

Pros

  • $5.28/month on the 24-month term buys 4 vCPU cores, 8 GB of RAM and 100 GB of SSD; monthly billing is $6.60/month
  • RAM per dollar is where this line wins: Cloud VPS 18 gives 18 cores and 96 GB of RAM for $47.04/month
  • No setup fee on any tier read (six tiers across three contract terms)
  • Only three contract terms exist, and the cards and order summary share one screen with struck-through list prices
  • EU regions carry no location fee; every other region prints its fee in the Region tab
  • The six Core tiers step up linearly (4/8/100GB/200Mbit to 18/96/600GB/1Gbit) with no naming games
  • Add-ons are all priced: an extra 100 GB of SSD $1.80/month, Windows $9.60/month, cPanel $27.50/month
  • One account covers the whole ladder, from Performance VPS to dedicated Cloud VDS cores and Dedicated from $131.75/month
  • Nine regions and eleven locations on one account, with the EU the only fee-free option
  • The vendor published a complete root-cause analysis of its own 2 September 2024 Nuremberg outage

Cons

  • The $5.28/month headline is a 24-month effective rate requiring a $126.72 prepayment, and going direct to contabo.com/en/vps/cloud-vps-6 (no -core-) opens an older configurator (24 vCPU / 120 GB / SAVE 8% / $70.58/month) — confirm the URL says cloud-vps-core-N
  • Location fees scale with the tier: US Central +$1.30, US West +$1.60, US East +$1.90, Sydney +$2.65, India +$3.00, Singapore +$3.10 (Out of stock), Japan +$3.15, and the UK fee on Cloud VPS 18 reaches $14.00/month
  • Repricing is contractual: GTC 3(9) permits adjustment at any time with silence treated as consent. Dated records: VPS 0 NVMe €4.19 → €5.10 on 18 April 2025, €5.99 → €7.20 on 19 February 2025, and r/VPS 1bk0eo0 (21 March 2024, 65 upvotes) reporting roughly 1,000 → 1,500 EUR/month
  • The contract renews for an equal term (GTC 5(1), four weeks notice), and Clause 4(1) makes payment for all services fall due immediately outside Germany
  • The exit is narrow: the 14-day withdrawal right is consumers only and a refund may carry a fee; backup is a customer obligation (GTC 3(7)) and the vendor states At Contabo we don't store customer data, so we are not able to recover any data loss
  • Availability is only the 99.9% annual average physical connectivity in Clause 11(1), with no separate SLA document, no credit table and no claims process; r/sysadmin 1s3nf99 (25 March 2026, 178 upvotes) reports over 106 hours down while payment was taken and the status page showed zero incidents
  • Third-party evidence is middling: VPSBenchmarks bought and tested one plan on 26 January 2026 and scored Overall 55, Network E and Raw CPU C; r/VPS 1to8bwk measured CPU steal at 0 with disk I/O as the bottleneck; WHTop shows 2.6/10 from 47 reviews with 0 official responses

Common questions

Is $5.28/month the real price, and will it go up?

$5.28 is the effective rate on a 24-month contract, charged as a $126.72 prepayment; the same plan is $6.60/month monthly and $5.61/month annually, none of it including the location fee. On repricing, the contract permits it and treats your silence as consent: GTC 3(9) lets the provider adjust prices at any time, and consent “is considered granted” if you do not exercise the special termination right inside the window. Three dated records exist — VPS 0 NVMe from €4.19 to €5.10 effective 18 April 2025, an email raising €5.99 to €7.20 on 19 February 2025, and the r/VPS 1bk0eo0 account of roughly 1,000 to 1,500 EUR/month. Contabo’s own record of official price announcements was not found.

Can I get a refund, and what happens if I forget to cancel?

Consumers can, within 14 days (T&C 5(5)); businesses cannot, and the refund article allows for an administration fee and for ineligibility. No clause on whether the setup fee is refundable was found in either document. GTC 5(1) extends the contract by a period equal to the initial term, so a 24-month contract not terminated four weeks before the end becomes another 24 months.

What happens if it goes down, can lost data be recovered, and where is the bottleneck?

There is no payout table to claim against. Clause 11(1) promises only 99.9% annual average physical connectivity, with no separate SLA document, no credit ratio and no claims process. On data, the vendor states “At Contabo we don’t store customer data, so we are not able to recover any data loss”, while GTC 3(7) makes backup a customer obligation. On performance, r/VPS 1to8bwk (26 May 2026) found CPU steal at a constant 0 with disk I/O as the bottleneck (iowait around 50%, r_await above 120 ms): memory is cheap on this line, disk and network are ordinary.

Is “unlimited traffic” really unlimited, and which tier should I buy?

It means “there is no per-GB add-on”, not “you may saturate the port”: outgoing traffic runs under a fair-usage policy, and Clause 9 lets the provider set its own limits, block immediately, and keep billing during a justified block. On tiers, Cloud VPS 6 is the value step at $7.20/month, only $1.92 above the entry tier for 12 GB of RAM. On regions, if you do not need a US IP, take European Union — the only fee-free option. Contabo’s configurator shows all three terms and every location fee on one screen.

Where do these numbers come from, with no hands-on test?

Every price and specification was read in a browser from Contabo’s own site (region CN, USD, English) on 2 October 2026 — the pricing page and all six tier configurators, plus the Storage and Image blocks for add-ons. The terms come from the GTC (headed “Effective as of December 2025”), the withdrawal page, the refund knowledge-base article and the “Can Contabo Recover My Data?” article, all read the same day. Reputation figures come from WHTop’s and SmartCustomer’s own platform statistics; performance figures from VPSBenchmarks’ 26 January 2026 purchase-and-test and a Review Signal site search, and those are third-party purchases, not my own testing. The Reddit items come from an anonymous, read-only opencli reddit search and are users’ own accounts. I did not rent a Contabo machine, so there is no uptime, throughput or latency measurement of mine here. Trustpilot, G2, Capterra and HostAdvice all returned 403, so no verifiable aggregate score from them is quoted.

Bottom line

Contabo is a good machine attached to a contract the reader has to read. $5.28/month on a 24-month term buys 4 vCPU cores and 8 GB of RAM for a $126.72 prepayment, $7.20/month buys 12 GB, and $47.04/month buys 18 cores and 96 GB; no setup fee appeared on any tier; EU regions carry no location fee; one account runs from Core VPS up to dedicated Cloud VDS cores and dedicated servers. At this price point, RAM per dollar has almost no rival.

What decides the cost is never the list price: GTC 3(9) permits repricing and treats your inaction as consent (in the contract, admitted by the help centre, and described on Reddit as 1,000 → 1,500 EUR/month); GTC 5(1) renews for an equal term; the exit is 14 days for consumers only, and there is no data recovery while backup is a customer obligation; and availability is a single 99.9% promise with no payout table, against an r/sysadmin account of 106 hours down while payment was taken. 3.5 is the price of a good product that requires the buyer to read the contract.

Buy it the way it is designed to be bought: the shortest term you can accept, Cloud VPS 6 if you need the RAM, an EU region to skip the location fee, backups on another machine, and the renewal date in a calendar on the day you order. Everything here is a snapshot dated 2 October 2026. Confirm the current price and location fees before you pay, and read GTC 3(9) and 5(1).
