Pros

  • Paid plans come with ownership: the Terms say the output and its intellectual property belong to you, and the plan list promises full commercial rights to songs made before and after subscribing
  • The free tier is a real product, not a locked demo — a stated 40 to 50 Gold a day is enough for a few songs, so the only reason to upgrade is the rights, not because the free version is unusable
  • Pro at $10/month is a low entry price for commercial rights and paying yearly takes 20% off both tiers, against "original" prices ($120, $360) that reconcile exactly with the monthly rate rather than being free-floating anchors
  • Premier exports WAV, stems, MIDI and a DAW session, which is what you need if the song has to be mixed rather than just posted
  • Model range is published and specific — V9.5, V9, V8, O2 and V7.6 on paid tiers — and the free tier runs an older model rather than a time-limited trial of the current one
  • The subscription is the cheapest way to buy songs: Pro at $10/month is labelled "up to 500 songs", about $0.02 each, against roughly $0.045 on the $18 top-up
  • You can judge what the model produces without paying anything — as long as free-tier songs are not published, that is a zero-risk evaluation

Cons

  • The free tier does not own its songs: Mureka holds all rights and licenses them back for internal, non-commercial use with attribution required every time — commercial rights mean paying $10/month
  • Every tier grants Mureka an irrevocable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to commercially exploit your output, and using their digital distribution service makes that licence exclusive
  • The vendor disclaims all liability for subscription refunds and tells you to ask Apple, Google, Stripe or PayPal instead; subscriptions renew automatically and cancellation must happen at least 24 hours before the period ends
  • The free daily allowance is stated three different ways in the vendor's own plan data (40 Gold / 50 Gold / 8 songs), so what you actually get per day is not knowable before signing up — and the free tier is the one tier that cannot top up
  • Gold top-ups cost roughly twice as much per song as the subscription ($0.045 against $0.02), so buying gold on top of a plan is the expensive path
  • The Terms state that output may resemble other users' music and that uniqueness is not guaranteed — worth reading the intellectual property section before signing a client contract that requires clean, exclusive rights

Who it is for

  • Creators who need commercial rights to the music they generate, and are willing to pay $10/month for them
  • Anyone who wants to try AI music for free first and accepts that free-tier songs cannot be used commercially
  • Producers who need stems, lossless WAV and a DAW session rather than a finished MP3, and will pay $30/month for the exports
  • Anyone who needs commercial rights at the lowest monthly price and can live with MP3-only exports — Pro at $10/month is the direct answer
  • Channel owners scoring video who want the explicit promise that songs created before and after subscribing both carry full commercial rights
  • Buyers outside mainland China who want cards, PayPal, Google Pay and Airwallex all wired up in USD, which makes paying from abroad less of an obstacle than on some tools
